{"id":873,"date":"2015-06-23T15:14:37","date_gmt":"2015-06-23T14:14:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aixia2015.unife.it\/?page_id=873"},"modified":"2019-07-04T11:50:11","modified_gmt":"2019-07-04T10:50:11","slug":"call-for-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/aixia2015.unife.it\/call-for-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Scholarships to Attend AI*IA 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pl-873\"  class=\"panel-layout\" ><div id=\"pg-873-0\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-873-0-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-873-0-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"0\" ><div class=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\">\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>The Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence offers grants&nbsp;for the participation of students in&nbsp;the&nbsp;<em>14<span class=\"cardin-nums\">th<\/span> Conference of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence<\/em> (<em>AI*IA 2015<\/em>).<br \/>\nGrants cover conference fees and possibly partially support travel and accommodation, on the basis of the number of requests.<br \/>\nAll candidates should<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be enrolled in a Bachelor, Master or PhD program or be recently graduated&nbsp;from a Bachelor\/Master program;<\/li>\n<li>be a member of AI*IA for 2015;<\/li>\n<li>have good English skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The candidates should send the travel grant application to Fabrizio Riguzzi&nbsp;(by email <a href=\"mailto:fabrizio.riguzzi@unife.it\" target=\"_blank\">fabrizio.riguzzi@unife.it<\/a>) by the <strong>15<span class=\"cardin-nums\">th<\/span> of July 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The application should include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>personal data, phone number, email address and social security number (or Codice Fiscale for Italian students);<\/li>\n<li>a scanned copy of the passport or ID card;<\/li>\n<li>a one-page (at most 500 words) curriculum vitae of the candidate.&nbsp;Bachelor\/Master students should include the average mark; recently graduated&nbsp;students should include the graduation mark;<\/li>\n<li>a budget estimating registration, travel, accommodation and meal expenses;<\/li>\n<li>a letter from a researcher\/professor including an assessment of the current status;<\/li>\n<li>status of the candidate (i.e., student\/recently graduated);<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The applications will be evaluated by the commission formed by<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Evelina Lamma (organizing committee of the event)<\/li>\n<li>Marco Gavanelli (organizing committee of the event)<\/li>\n<li>Fabrizio Riguzzi (organizing committee of the event and AI*IA board of directors)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The commission will evaluate the submitted applications, and will select the&nbsp;students that will receive the grant on the basis of the following priorities<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ph.D. students participating in the Doctoral Consortium (please note that the Call for DC Papers is still open: <a href=\"http:\/\/aixia2015.unife.it\/events\/doctoral-consortium\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/aixia2015.unife.it\/<wbr>events\/doctoral-consortium\/<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>students with a paper accepted at the AI*IA conference, or any of the AI*IA Workshops<\/li>\n<li>other Ph.D. students<\/li>\n<li>bachelor and master students and, among these, according to the average of&nbsp;their exam grades<\/li>\n<li>recent graduates<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The selected students will have to confirm their participation in the symposium in 2 days.<br \/>\nAfter the event, the selected students will have to send a scanned copy of the certificate of&nbsp;attendance to the AI*IA &nbsp;treasurer Sara Manzoni&nbsp;(by email&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:manzoni@disco.unimib.it\" target=\"_blank\">manzoni@disco.unimib.it<\/a>) together with their IBAN account number.<br \/>\nMoreover, they have to send the originals of the receipts by mail to the AI*IA&nbsp;accountant<\/p>\n<p class=\"mail-address\"><strong>Dott.
